In 2004 we experimented with retrocalculation on quite possibly the most famed dinosaur of all: T. rex. The Museum in the Rockies at Montana State University has a dozen specimens of the giant carnivore, and 7 of them have moderately well preserved hind-limb bones that authorized us to help make thin slices which can be examined under a microscope.
